שלום. I will write in english, because it is easier for me. The name discussed above is mine and I see that Udi did not explain that is a language specificity in the translation. The letter "LY" in hungarian is pronounced like "J" in the english name Jan, the hebrew name Yael. Is the same diftong like "SZ" which in english letters is S and in hebrew is samechת "cs" = צ` (specific to polish names as well zs= ז`: s=ש; sch = ש; . I will give you some examples of hungarian names which had been translated in hebrew as follows: Eckstein - אקשטין; Heller - הלר; Geller - גלר; Schutz - שוץ; Mihaly - מיהאי: roth - רוט; Hershkovitz - הרשקוויץ; Schwartz - שווארץ; Schwann - שוואן Katz - קץ etc etc. I am writting this because the first public notarz which translated my name translated it correctly, taking in consideration the semantics and rules of the language from which was translated and this name was accepted by the misrad hapnim. The problem showed up when I translated my diplomas and the second public notary did not take in consideration the translation of the first public notary, nor the name itself, translating (assume her translator( automatically, although the rule/meaning/translitteration of Sz= samech was taken in consideration. The problem showed up I guess because my diplomas are in romanian, the second notary knows just romanian and my name is hungarian and the first notary knew how the name is trasnslated exactly in hebrew. With the translation of the second notary I am seeing the tipycal spelling mistake known from Romania and made by people who had no clue of hungarian. It is really uncomfortable for me, because the first notary which translated for me still did not came back to me with a response of how to deal with it, the second notary does not want to change the translation like the first one, my name is awkwardly changed and mistransliterated in hebrew, my documents can not be forwarded with 2 different names in the misrad hahinuch and I am really upset because of this thing. At the end what should i Do go to Misrad Hapnim and get a paper from them according to my registered name there and take it to the second notary? Thank you in advance for the answer.
